RV Park Reviews

These are Independent, State, City and National Parks that we have stayed in. I use the 10 scale rating system

Ameristar RV Park-Vicksburg, MS 7⭐️

Great overnight stop because of proximity to the interstate. Sites taken care of but some not quite level. May need to block. The staff is nice but needs an update I training. The lady I tried to pay couldn’t get her computer working so let us stay for free!

Cedar Hill State Park-Cedar Hill, TX (Dallas) 8⭐️

This state park is also convenient to the interstate and close to shopping and restaurants for stocking up and a break from cooking. This past winter the park suffered from flooding and much of the lower areas are still a mess. We camped up on the upper loop. Sites are paved and many are level. Great spot for tent camping and there is a view of the lake and downtown from some sites. One warning though-Beware of tarantulas!

Las Cruces KOA-Las Cruces, NM 8⭐️

This park is sits very nicely on a hill overlooking the city and the mountains. There is a playground, pool, gazebos and a store for essentials. The sites are not paved but well manicured and level. The only downside is the expense. The site was $40 a night but then they charged per child 6 and over. We are not fans of this policy!
